Bigger boys and stolen sweethearts

Outfit:
Black felt fedora - From granddad (similar)
Quilted faux leather jacket - Zara (similar)
Tartan midi jersey dress - Boohoo
Black leather heeled ankle boots - Topshop (similar)

After having a sort through the cupboard looking for my Halloween outfit I came across this hat. It belonged to my granddad and when he passed away when I was 16 I nabbed it from my nans house. I still remember the day he bought it, we were up in Scotland and it started to rain so he walked into a shop in the village to buy something to keep the rain off his head. It's funny how certain memories stick in your head when you glance at something. I'd eyeing up a fedora lately for the winter months so this one has popped up at just the right time. Plus something with sentimental value is always more special isn't it? I saw this dress on Sarah's Wednesday Wants and as soon as payday rolled around last week I popped it in my basket and put my card details in before you could say tartan. WINTER20 helps you get 20% off your order.

I was hunting out a Halloween costume as  I'm off to Northern Ireland - Derry to be exact - on Wednesday to celebrate the holiday in style. We been told by my boyfriends family that it's kinda a big deal and we're in for a treat. It's only a flying visiting as we're visiting for just three days but I'm very much looking forward to it and it'll be nice to all catch up. I'm glad we fly back on a Friday so I have the weekend to recover  if the last trip was anything to go by. My liver is already weeping at the thought...

Maybe next year I'll have no time

Outfit:
Black t-shirt crop top - Topshop
Green floral spilt midi skirt - Topshop
Gold heeled high sandals - c/o Boohoo

I saw this skirt on Robyn and decided I just had to have it. After I found out it had a matching crop top - hurry up payday! - I completely lost myself. I'm a complete sucker for matchy matchy! I quite fancy treating myself to this too to go with the skirt. Crop tops seem to be my new favourite thing at the minute. I'm not entirely sure why i've been converted as I don't really like showing my flesh. But I love the way they look with midi and high waisted skirts. As this is what the majority of my wardrobe is made up off I thought i'd better jump on the bandwagon! I went a bit overboard on the Topshop website with this months wages. I do have slight buyers remorse as I'm now skint but not enough to take it back! Next month it's back to being good as i've got New York to book in October and need all the money I can get. Exciting!

I'm wearing this outfit for a trip up to Lincoln to visit some family on Saturday. We're going out for lunch there and then onto a family party in the evening so I wanted something that I could dress down and up. I'm going to wear my Zara pointed flats during the day. They don't seem to be off my feet lately!

What do you have planned for the upcoming weekend?

In the meadows

Outfit:
Cut out meadow printed dress - c/o Lashes of London
Black slouch clutch bag - Next
Black strappy gold heeled sandals - c/o Boohoo

I've never been on for low cut clothes as let's face it my chest is nothing really to shout about and I don't like showing off my legs with bum skimming dresses. So this cut out midi dress had my name written all over it. The length is perfect and the cut out stomach helps to stop me looking too frumpy. I love the pretty summery pattern and the sturdy material. If you're going to do bodycon it has to certainly suck you in and boy did this make sure none of my lumps and bumps were showing.

I'm wearing this for a day out at Newmarket races followed by seeing Madness later on tonight. It's to help celebrate my mother birthday - she's certainly milking turning 50 as her actual birthday was back in May and we still have Claridges for Afternoon Tea in August. There's a huge gaggle of us traipsing down to Newmarket in a karaoke, booze filled, furry-lined, party minibus. It seems like when we do things we do them in style. I predict a day/night of carnage with my mother's friends putting my best friend and I to shame and showing us exactly how it's done.

Nothing left to make me feel small luck has left me standing so tall

Outfit:
Off the shoulder black crop top - c/o Boohoo
Tulle black midi skirt - Next
Gold heeled black sandals - c/o Boohoo
Giant drop diamond earring - Primark
Gold cuffs - c/o George At Asda
Red Lipstick - Chanel Rouge Allure 99 Pirate

I attended the Boohoo press day a good few weeks ago and was very kindly given a voucher in the goody bag. As soon as I spotted these shoes on the website they went straight in my basket. I love the snazzy gold heel which helps make them look a little bit different. I was a bit worried about them giving me sausage legs - ankle straps can be a bit unforgiving - but I think they look ok. This strappy sandal seems to be my shoe of choice at the minute and I'm snapping up far too many different variations than is necessary. Primark have some cracking choices!

I wore this outfit out over the weekend for a girls night out with my mum and nan in the local noodle bar followed by numerous jugs of cocktails in Wetherspoons. Who says we're not  classy birds eh? I think we're going to try and make it a monthly date as what's better than having the chance to get dressed up and stuff your face. Maybe next time I'll give the crop top a miss as the food baby did not look attractive!
