OOTD: Grey ripped jeans

Outfit:
Khaki tunic: ASOS (Similar)
Grey ripped jeans: New look
Burgundy leather ankle boots: Next (similar)
Grey ombre midi coat: ASOS (similar)
Poppy red Lily bag: Mulberry

I hope you're not getting fed up with this coat because it's still attached to my body. Perfect for this cold weather snap - stylish and great at keeping me cosy! I went on a bit of jeans splurge a few weeks ago to try and update my drawer. Among them were these distressed grey skinnies. I am a bit partial to a ripped knee now and was keen to add to my collection. New Look jeans just fit like a dream, are reasonably priced and they keep their shape - not baggy knees on these bad boys! What's not to love?

I wore this little ensemble to a Japanese brunch date at Flesh and Buns with my favourites Lily, Sarah - the expert photographer - and Hannah to help celebrate my birthday. I was given some wonderful gifts, rinsed the all-inclusive processo, cackled like a mad woman and stuffed myself silly with steamed buns. It was one of my favourite afternoons out in a long time. Those girls are pretty special.

OOTD: Chunky roll neck jumper

Outfit:
Khaki trench coat: Primark (similar)
Two tone chunky knit roll neck jumper: New Look
Navy soft touch skinny jeans: ASDA* (similar)
Two tone brown and black heeled leather boots: TK Maxx (similar)
Poppy red medium lily: Mulberry

I took fashion advice from Hannah Gale and went on the hunt before Christmas for some long-line chunky knit roll neck jumpers. The girl has a cracking collection. I eventually came across some on New Look that tickled my fancy - this two tone jumper was one of two that I ordered. Now I want to order all the chunky knits in the world. They're cosy, easy to throw on and allow you to still feel put together yet as comfortable as wearing your jammies outdoors. Win win situation all round. Now when is payday so I can buy more?

Ah Neals Yard - an Instagram wet dream eh? I met up with Lily and Sarah whilst dragging along my RL friend for a brunch date at Dishoom and a bit of Shakespeare culture with Dame Judi Dench in A Winter's Tale. You should have seen my best friends gobsmacked face when we all whipped out our cameras to photograph our breakfast. The girl didn't know what had hit her! A Winter's Tale was fun. I didn't really have a clue what was going on for the first 20 minutes and really should have done prior research. But by the second act I was laughing at the jokes and it was a pleasure to see Dame Judi in action. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday I tell thee.

Despite my boyfriend asking me if I was feeling a bit sheepish when I met him wearing this coat, I'm very glad it's finally cold enough to bring it out of storage. The best £25 I ever spent in Primark. And it's lasted more than one season which is always a bonus with that shop! I wore this for a burger lunch date with Hannah and Lily before mooching around the V&A museum. Pretty perfect Wednesday if you ask me! I'm now back at work, back commuting and back spending my days in London. So long week off! Now it's all full steam ahead until Christmas. How on earth is is December already?

OOTD: Red Gingham Midi Skirt

Outfit:
Light wash denim jacket: Primark (similar)
White tee: Primark (similar)
Red gingham midi skirt: ASOS (similar)
Black pony haired sandals: New Look (similar)

Desperately trying to hold onto my bare legs and sandals, I wore this outfit last week on a beautifully warm day in the city. I felt very summery in this outfit prancing around London pretending to be important. Although I did treat myself to my new winter ankle boots that day so maybe I'm not too sad about the chillier climates coming as I thought. I always try to hold onto bare legs until at least the end of September. We spend most of our lives in England smothered in tights, boots and scarves so I like to milk it when I can. Tell me I'm not the only one trying to kid themselves that it's Autumn?!

Thanks to the beautiful Sarah for snapping these on her lunch break. Such a babe!

OOTD: Red Kimono

Red oriental inspired kimono: ASOS (similar)
Black longline sleeveless tunic: ASOS (similar)
Black skinny jeans: New Look
Silver leather brogues: ASOS
Wooden boyfriend style watch: Jord*

I can't believe last week was the first time I ventured to the good ol' British seaside this year. With the summer we've been having, being attacked by seagulls, whilst scoffing fish and chips has been the last thing on my mind. Hopefully this Indian summer will be arriving pretty sharpish.  But I popped along to the coast last weekend for a break that was very much needed. A few days away full with lots of laughs, beautiful weather and masses of good food is always a cracking tonic!

I took it as an opportunity to show off my snazzy new wooden watch. I have such a soft spot for a good quality watch so jumped at the chance to own a Jord watch when they got in touch. I opted for a small boyfriend style with a red wine coloured wood - the Cora in Purpleheart and Pearl. What a beauty eh? It looks so classy and elegant. Definitely a conversation starter as two people commented on it when I wore it this day. It's a piece I can see myself constantly having on rotation! Have a peek below to see what other watches they have on offer.

OOTD: Ripped jeans

Floral kimono: Oasis

White cut out floral top: Boohoo*
Pony hair black heeled sandals: New Look (similar)

Another day. Another kimino. These babies are turning out to be my achilles heel. I seem to be buying one every month much to my bank account's dismay. So easy to throw on and still look half decent. They're an absolute godsend in this awful humid weather. I'm constantly hot and cold so these are great to help keep the chill off when the rain starts to appear. I wore this for a lovely day out at the beautiful Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire. Oh how the other half lives! The grand house was a birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill and is set in stunning grounds. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the ex-Prime Minister's death so there's lots of interesting exhibits to read.

September seems to already be a very busy month. Considering I've been made redundant, I seem to be doing a lot of things! Thank god for some freelancing work. I'm in London a few days this week which is always nice - never tire of the big city! Something about that place always gets me. Lots of cinema trips - see Southpaw immediately guys, it's immense -, boxing matches, Cillian Murphy talks and Butlins fun to be had this month!

How is your September planning out?

OOTD: Black and White Stripes

Outfit:
Black and white sleeveless top: Primark (similar)
Textured black midi skirt: Topshop  (similar)
Chain handled cross body black bag: Zara (similar)
Pony haired block heeled sandals: New Look (similar)

The last few weeks I feel like I haven't stopped. In a good way. I've been lucky to get some freelance shifts at a magazine but working in London again has made me exhausted. I absolutely love being back in the city and wouldn't change it for anything. It's where I want to be without a shadow of a doubt. But I would love some more sleep! The long days and early starts are taking a while to get used too. It doesn't help that my to do list is getting longer by the minute. I need to stop arranging to be such a social butterfly and lay off all the dinners/drinks I've been arranging. My body can't cope and nor can my bank account. But it's just hard when you've been away from The Big Smoke for 18 months. I just want to do everything! You can sleep when you're dead right?

Photos thanks to the beautiful Sarah!

OOTD: Floral duster coat

So is summer really over? By the amount of showers, Mother Nature would certainly have you thinking so. I'm still not ready to pack my sandals away. Despite the rain, its still pretty muggy so this is where thin duster coats come in handy. They cover you up but are light enough to not make you overheat. Especially on the tube. Gosh since commuting back into the city, I've been suffering on the underground. The Central Line was reported to have reached 38 degrees recently. Keep me in your thoughts please.
