OOTD: Snakeskin shoes

Outfit:
Khaki trench coat: Primark (similar)
Roll neck black tunic: ASOS
Black ripped knee jeans: F&F
Snakeskin effect heeled pumps: Carvela via TK Maxx (similar)

Excuse the extremely windswept hair - I've heard it's the new thing for S/S14.

When I'm having a bit of a podge day I opt for an all-black outfit. It does wonders for the self esteem! It needs a bit of a boost at the minute which is why I've joined Slimming World. Hopefully it will help me kick self-esteem's butt. Please feel free to share any SW food blogs. I'm always after meal inspiration. Black also helps makes me feel a little it more put together and dare I say, a little classy. I know, I know. Stranger things have happened.

I'd just like to say a huge thank you for everyone's kind words on my friendship post. The love it's gotten has made me blush - you're all such babes. I'm so glad that so many of you can relate to it and I'm not alone. Be strong guys! You don't have to settle in friendships. You all deserve so much better.

OOTD: Khaki trench coat

Outfit:
Khaki trench coat: Primark (similar)
Gingham flannel shirt: New Look
Black washed out ripped skinny jeans: F&F
Burgundy loafers: Zara (similar)

I came across this gorgeous Khaki trench in Primark during a manic browse last weekend and all my willpower just went out the window. I've been wearing my beige one to death and thought this would help to give it a break. Admittedly it's not quite warm enough yet to actually wear it as it's quite thin. But I've been rebelling against the elements. I'm feeling like a bit of a trendy Wendy in these ripped jeans. I finally took the plunge and treated myself and decided that I need them in every colour. They fit like an absolute dream! Naturally I got a light denim wash too. They add the perfect dose of effortless cool to an outfit and I feel like I'm more on trend then I usually am. I'm never on trend. Just one tip though. Don't fall over in them as you will end up with grazed knees. That lesson was learnt the hard way.

Can't you find a little room inside for me?

Outfit:
Grey leopard print tunic: Topshop
Black duster coat: Topshop (similar)
Black super soft skinny jeans: New Look
Black pointed heels: Primark (similar)
Silver boyfriend watch: Fossil
Amazonian Butter Red lipstick: c/o Tarte via QVC

I'm finding I'm wearing a lot of jeans. Quite often when I wade through my endless supply of clothes in the morning, I'm picking up jeans. I don't know what on earth is happening either - those midi skirts are gathering dust. Maybe I've had too much of a good thing recently and fancy a change. I do know that these jeans are keeping me warm in this cold snap! I also know that this top has fast become one of my favourite things to wear. I bought it thanks to a birthday voucher - thanks E! - and it's been worn far too much already. That's always the sign of a good purchase.

Can we just chat about this lippie? I was given this lipstick via work and have fallen in love. Come payday and I'll be buying a few more. I've already got a Tarte blush which I picked up in NYC last year and have been meaning to sample a few of their products for ages! Any lipstick recommendations?

No, I don't really know what I'm supposed to say

Outfit:
Black quilted faux leather jacket: Zara (similar)
Block roll neck jumper: Primark (similar)
Purple floral maxi skirt: ASOS
Glittery pointed pumps: Next (similar)
Gold cameo ring: Vintage
Grey nail polish: Liz Earle Moonlight c/o

I know I only posted about this skirt a few weeks ago but it's far to pretty to just leave hanging in the wardrobe right? I thought this time I'd show off how I wear it a bit more casually. If wearing a massive skirt actually counts as casual.. I wore this out for my birthday day out in London last Friday for my birthday - 26 SAY WHAT?! - for afternoon tea on a routemaster and a cracking breakfast at Caravan. It was the ideal skirt to conceal all that food I managed to scoff.

It's funny that the older I'm getting the younger I'm feeling. Is this just me? I'm not really that fussed about being 26 more the fact that I'm in shock I've reached this age. How on earth has 26 years whizzed past? I'm still as inappropriate and silly as ever and I hope this never changes. No one ever said grown ups had to be sensible. I just need to make sure I have a pair of flats in my bags when I'm wearing heels. Omph my back!

P.S can you seen my nan photobombing? She was getting bored...

All black everything

Outfit:
Black roll neck jumper: Primark (similar)
Black crepe cullottes: Topshop
Black quilted leather jacket: Zara (similar)
Chunky heeled faux suede courts: F&F (similar)
Faux pearl stud earrings: c/o Susan Caplan

Sometimes when the weather just isn't playing ball you just want to wear all black in mourning for the long lost sunshine. There's something about an all black outfit that I love especially when there's a mix of different textures. A little bit of red lippy helps to keep it from looking too boring. These cullottes are my new favourite thing surgically attached to my body. I was persuaded by my nan to buy them during a weekend away- the girl has style! If you ever need to be talked into buy some unnecessary purchases she's the one to go too. My bank account weeps when we go shopping.

I was very kindly gifted these gorgeous Susan Caplan earrings - aren't they pretty? Founder Susan sources gorgeous vintage jewellery which means every piece is unique. She sells a wide range including earrings, necklaces and bracelets - well worth having a little mooch!

Won't you stay with me? 'Cause you're all I need

Quilted faux leather jacket: Zara (similar)
Grey polo neck jumper: Primark (similar)
Jacquard black and silver floral midi skirt: c/o Poppy Lux
Croc effect chunky heeled pointed courts: c/o Florence and Fred

When this skirt popped through my letterbox, I immediately thought of Christmas. There's just something about the metallic colours that scream the festive season to me. I think it's a keeper for Christmas Day. There's plenty of room to scoff down an insane amount of cheese and biscuits on the big day. What more could you want? Etail PR have come to the rescue!

I can't get over how fast November is creeping past. I feel like I'm going to blink and it's going to be December. My diary is starting to fill up with lots of Christmas get togethers and my shopping list is fast getting ticked off. I have a trip to Bruges in a few weeks which I'm extremely excited about. I'm not usually much of a Christmas fan - working in retail kinda sucks it out of you. But this year I'm enjoying seeing all the mince pies and Christmas trees pop up in shops. Working in food has meant that I've already had my fill of festive treats since the beginning of the month - long may it continue!

Layering up

Outfit:
Midi beige trench coat: Zara (similar)
Burgundy and navy scarf: c/o New Look
Black across the body bag: Zara (similar)
Black turtleneck jumper: Primark (similar)
White textured drop waist dress: Asos
Leather heeled black boots: Topshop (similar)

You can tell the chill is starting to set in when you resemble the Michelin man when you leave the house thanks to the endless layers. This outfit is the prime example! Gosh it's been a little cold this week hasn't it? This trench still hasn't left my body since the day I bought it but I might have to retire it soon. It's just not thick enough! I'm still not entirely convinced by the drop waist dress. It's a little bit too much like a smock and not too flattering. But it's the ideal piece for layering a jumper underneath and is so comfortable! It definitely looks better with a bit of a heel.

Thank the heavens for Friday eh? This has been one hell of a week!

How are you layering up now the winter months have hit?

Orange is the new black

Outfit:
Floral textured orange midi dress: ASOS
Nude pointed bow flats: New Look (similar)
Light wash denim jacket: Primark (similar)
Lace gold statement necklace: Car Boot (similar)

This dress is fast becoming the most worn item in my wardrobe. It's can be worn for every occasion. Need to look a little bit smarter for work to a PR meeting? Check. Going out for Friday drinks after work? Check. Pub trip on Saturday night to your local? Check. Trip to Oktoberfest in London like today? Check. See I told you it was perfect for everything.

As I mentioned I'm off to Oktoberfest at Millwall Park today for a little German inspired jolly. I missed the boat last year so I made sure I organised it in time this year. I've heard lots of good things about it and got my fingers crossed for some table dancing and belly laughs.

Have you ever been to Oktoberfest in London? I'll be very jealous if you've been to Munich!

Apart from the frightening, the moaning, the biting, he seemed to be a nice guy

Outfit:
Light wash denim jacket: Primark (similar)
White roll neck jersey sleeveless top: Topshop
Black and white gingham midi cotton skirt: Topshop (similar)
White sliders: Office (similar)
Black gem necklace: Car boot (similar)
Gold vintage style boyfriend watch: Marc By Marc Jacobs

Still wearing bare legs and it's creeping towards the end of September? I don't mind if I do! Although there certainly seemed to be a bit of a chill in the air today so maybe I won't be able to rock the bare legs for much longer. I've got to be honest and admit I'm not ready to embrace the tights just yet.

I wore this outfit to travel down to Butlins last Friday. I'm still recovering from the weekend despite coming back last night. I'm getting too old for all this partying lark it seems. I had such a lovely weekend away and it was really nice to just chill out to some live music and stuff myself with lots of Full English Breakfast's and prosecco. Life is always so much better by the seaside!

What did you get up to over the weekend?

When I look into your eyes I see something that money can't buy

Outfit:
Green floral midi wiggle dress: ASOS (similar)
Yellow peep toe heels: Karen Millen (similar)
Grey and yellow laser cut clutch: Primark (similar)

I was on a spending ban and then during a daily browse on ASOS - I'm not the only one who does this surely?! - I spotted this in the sale and promptly added it to my basket. There was an additional 15% off sale code so it came to £21, down from £48. I couldn't not buy it right? That's what I'm telling myself anyway. There's just something about the shape and style of this dress I've fallen in love with. My collection now consists of three and I'm trying to think of an excuse to buy another one. These shoes were a very kind hand me on from my mum's boss after she bought them in the sale and they turned out to be too small. Luckily for me they fitted just right! The colour is gorgeous and I've been itching to wear them for the past few months but just never found the right dress. Another reason why the dress was a good buy...

This morning I'm doing a bootsale with my nan and then rushing back home to get ready for a curry in Brick Lane this afternoon. I was kindly given a voucher via work so looking forward to stuffing my face with one of my favourite cuisines. You can't beat a Sunday afternoon stroll along Brick Lane - it's one of my favourite places in London.

Have you got anything planned for today?
