I've been stockpiling lots of summer dresses ready for my trip to Copenhagen at the beginning of July. Which really means I've been obsessively checking the new in section on ASOS and buying lots of things I don't really need. Standard behaviour. One of the things I came across during my daily search was this green midi. It was lovely at first sight. A dress that goes from day to night. Perfect for a day exploring Copenhagen before retiring for dinner in the Danish city. Its casual enough to wander but smart enough to make it look like you've made an effort. What more could you want from a dress? I gave the dress a debut during a lazy Saturday walk around Battersea Park before feeding our faces at the Prince Albert pub. But more on that pub lunch in the next post. Spoiler. It was absolutely delicious!

OOTD: Midi dresses and Chlobo

Outfit:
Beige trench coat: ASOS
Blue paisley midi dress: Boohoo via ASOS (similar)
Black pointed suedette ankle boots: ASOS (similar)
Poppy red lily bag: Mulberry
Silver hamsa hand necklace: ChloBo via Mococo*

Jewellery website Mococo got in touch to see if we wanted to collaborate on a blog post. Selling a range of well-known jewellery brands such as Thomas Sabo, Pandora, ChloBo and Olivia Burton, it didn't take long for me to take them up on the offer. This lovely silver hamsa hand necklace is the perfect statement piece - lots of people complimented it! It came beautifully packaged with a cute note, pink bag and a cheeky chocolate. I love the long chain and the large pendant. Definitely something I'm going to be reaching for again and again to jazz up an outfit. I thought it went perfect with my new midi dress which was a total bargain at just £20. Full price! It's a great transitional piece thanks to the midi length and long sleeves. The weather still can't make it's mind up!

Thanks to mega babe Sarah for snapping these pictures.

The sun finally arrived last weekend eh? After snow, hail and rain over the last few weeks, I didn't think the sun was going to put its hat on at all this year. In celebration of the warm weather I decided to get my pasty pins out for the first time this year. Those lucky people of Walthamstow. This is one of my fail safe summer outfit. A light cotton midi skirt, body and denim jacket. Job done. It's so easy to pop on and keeps me nice and cool. This denim jacket will be worn to death over the common months. Fingers crossed this nice weather to continue although I have heard some nasty rumours of thunderstorms. Sort it out Mother Nature!

Well don't I look a little like a walking advertisement for ASOS. Maybe I should take that as a hint that I place too many orders online... That new loyalty scheme is fast becoming my new best friend. I'll have those £5 vouchers in no time! I'm on a bit of an ankle boot mission of late. I can't stop picking up new pairs here, there and everywhere. The weather really isn't playing ball so I've been living in them. The tortoiseshell heel of this tan pair had me hook, line and sinker when I spotted them. They took a while to feel fully comfortable but now they've hardly been off my feet. I love the fact they're pretty neutral but have a surprise heel to keep them looking interesting.

I wore this on a Peruvian brunch date with Hannah and Lauren at the weekend. Lauren was down for a few days from Scotland so it gave us all an excuse to catch up, drink some cocktails and stuff ourselves silly. It was such a lovely afternoon and it was a shame when we had to say goodbye.

How beautiful was the weather last Saturday? It finally felt like the spring we've all been waiting for. The sunshine prompted a an impromptu day to trip to North London. We didn't really have any plans in mind apart from a trip to Dishoom. It was so nice to go with the flow and aimlessly wander around the winding streets without an end destination. We ended up walking along Regents Canal from Kings Cross to Camden, trekked to the top of Primrose Hill for the incredible view above, marvelled at all the huge houses in St John's Wood before heading over to Abbey Road to laugh at all the tourists holding up the traffic trying to recreate the Beatle album cover. It was time to head home when it started to rain for a bottle of wine in bed to watch Jonathan Ross. Exactly how all Saturdays should end - what on earth is this going out out business?!

Is there a bigger London cliche than red double deckers and the backdrop of Trafalgar Square? Nothing quite like catching the beauty of London when the sun starts to goes down and the city glows. Last month I treated myself to a few things from F&F for work. The supermarket chain always comes up trumps. This in between seasons is making me feel a bit of frump. I'm not quite sure what to wear and my wardrobe is uninspiring. I just wanted a few bits and pieces that I could throw on and look pretty decent. Yet still look presentable for an office despite not having put too much brainpower into choosing the outfit. This 5.30am alarm calls tends to decrease your ability to do much thinking in the morning.

Next week is yet again pretty jam packed but after a few weeks taking it easy I'm looking forward to getting out and about. Seeing things, eating things and doing things. I'm on countdown to a weekend in Leamington Spa at Sarah's with all my favourite blogger girls. A weekend of wine and cake is just what's needed to bring April in with a bang.

Since getting back from Cologne last weekend it's all been a bit of a whirlwind. For some reason everything has seem to come at once and it's been manic. I feel like I haven't stopped. I think the earliest I got home last week was just before nine pm. But amongst the frantic running around, there was some amazing news thrown in there. From the 1st April I am no longer freelancing but a full time employee. I'll be a member of the Homes & Property team at the Evening Standard, somewhere I've been freelancing since November last year. It's made me week that it's finally official. I genuinely enjoy going into work every day and am so pleased that I can carry on! Obviously lots of celebrating was done with a cider, ramen and fried chicken. As all good things should be celebrated!

After being on a saving mission for February, come March payday I went a little crazy and treated myself to a few things. Two things being these skinny jeans and this palm print shirt. I just felt like I needed a complete refresh and more casual clothes in my wardrobe. You can never have too many pairs of jeans right? Of all places, Tesco do the jeans that fit me to a tee. They're high waisted, don't sag and don't cost the earth. Perfect right?

Gosh the temperature seems to have dropped this last few days eh? I thought Spring was suppose to be making an appearance now! The cold snap has meant layers are keys to keeping warm. Luckily a chunky roll neck jumper and oversized blanket coat have been helping. A pair of tan ankle boots are such staple in any wardrobe and these ones feel like wearing slippers. So comfy. Definitely no blisters from these. Just as well really as I walked a staggering 14km that day!

I wore this at the weekend for a day of exploring South London with LilySarah and expert photographer Hannah. It was a day of eating. Lots of eating. We stumbled across these almshouses in Bermondsey during a wander down to Maltby Street market. It's amazing what you can find once you wander of the beaten track. London is full of surprises.
