A Chanel lipstick collection

I'm a sucker for a Chanel lipstick. There's something about the gold and black sleek, luxe packaging that makes me go all googly-eyed. I prefer the creamy formula of the Rouge Allure range and am slowly building up my collection. The staying power is fantastic and the pigmentation is so intense. I usually save all my boots points before splashing out once I gain enough. An unexpected treat is the best kind of treat! Take a look at my mini collection.

104 Passion
This bright red is extremely versatile with a blue undertone. It looks great in the depths of winter when you're lacking vitamin C and in the summer when you're boasting a tan. It's very much a classic fire engine red, making it perfect for the upcoming festive season. Two coats and it will last pretty much the whole night. Put some lipcote on top too and it will still be standing strong after a three course meal!

97 Incandescente
Nine times out of ten, if I'm wearing a red lip then it will be this one. This orangey red just makes me feel so polished and put together - the perfect pick-me-up! It packs such a punch and the lipstick glides on effortfully. The silky formula helps to stop the lipstick from being to drying. Once again, it has great staying power and you only really need to reapply once or twice from day to evening.

102 Palpitante
This is my newest purchase from a couple of weeks ago that I have yet to wear. Can you tell I have a special affection for red lipsticks? This raspberry colour leans towards a pink hue but still has a slightly red tinge.

99 Pirate
This one is the deepest red of the four, this is such an intense colour. It can be prone to bleeding so a careful hand is needed. But it glides on so easily and its staying power is great. I love this with a really simple outfit to create a statement.

Beauty: New Seventeen Make Up Palettes

Can I just say how incredible is that self portrait?! It's by far one of the best things I've been gifted. The entire thing was made using the new Seventeen make up palettes by Maxine Ayre - pretty snazzy huh?

Onto the make up palettes themselves then! The eyeshadow palette - Easy On The Eye* - has my name written all over it. With eight matte and shimmer powder shadows and four cream, it's great value for money at £7.99. You won't need to use anything else! The neutral shades are great for blending a subtle smokey eye with the shimmers being perfect to rock at night.

I'm all about a red lip so was pretty excited to see the the deep, foxy red in the All Out Pout * set. With classy nudes and bold, vibrant brights, it's perfect to keep in your handbag. It's all about switching up your lipstick to a different shade every hour right? For £7.99, it's an absolute bargain.

I need all the help I can get making sure these dark circles look half-decent. Luckily the Let's Face It* palette has everything I could need for £5.99. Complete with a pink toned concealer, a yellow toned concealer, a peach cream bleach and a setting power, your make up will look spit spot in no time.

Easy On The Eye and All Out Pout palettes are in the shop now. The Let's Face It palette is available from 30th September. You can treat yourself online at Boots and in the larger stores. They'll be fantastic to take if you're planning a cheeky weekend break. Just pack a mascara and an eyeliner and you'll be sorted!

Listerine and Louise Redknapp

When an email popped in my inbox revealing a collaboration between mouthwash brand Listerine and ex-Eternal singer Louise Redknapp I was very intrigued! It turns out that Wild About Beauty - co-owned by Louise - were helping the launch of the new Listerine Advanced White mouthwash. It's been clinically proven to help make your teeth whiter within two weeks. Snazzy! Together they have come up with three lipsticks that help to make your gnashers look whiter and brighter. Soft Pink, Fuchsia Pink and Rich Berry - I was kindly sent the last shade to test out.

Do you have any tips to help make your teeth look whiter?

Feeling lippy

L-R Avon Ultra Glazewear Lip Gloss in Fiery c/o, Flori Roberts lipstick in Fierce c/o, Chanel Rouge Allure in Incandescente, Topshop Lipstick in All About Me

I'm a real lipstick fiend. I don't wear it all the time but I always carry around two or three on my bag to whip on at any moment. I find it really helps to lift an outfit even if you just have your slob clothes on! Since it's began to heat up i've found myself drawn to these four beauties. Red and pinks are clearly my thing.

I don't own very many lipglosses as I find them a bit too sheer. This one is the opposite and comes up quite opaque. It's great when you don't want something too heavy on your lips. The only downside to the gloss is the fact it bleeds so you have to constantly keep an eye on it. Not one you can forget about once you've had a few drinks. I always make sure I have a few cotton buds in my bag to help keep it looking tidy.

I was very kindly given this gorgeous deep pink from Flori Roberts and it's a welcomed addition to my collection. I've only worn it a few times as it's such a statement with just one swipe. It has quite good staying power and is even better if you pop lipcote in the mix.

I love the orange tone of the Chanel number - it really makes it ideal for the summer. It's so vibrant and again stays put even after eating. I do have such a soft spot for Chanel.

Finally I can't rave enough about Topshop lipsticks. They have such a brilliant creamy formula and so pigmented. The colour in the bullet is literally the same shade that will transfer on your lips. Nothing worse than a missleading bullet!

What's your favourite lipstick colour for the summer?

This week i'm loving - Liz Earle Lipstick

This is my first Liz Earle lipstick and it won't be the last! I love the fact that the lipstick is slightly sheer meaning you can build up the colour depending on how bright you fancy your lips. A quick sweep of colour for the daytime or a more intense pink for the evening. It's been my go-to lipstick for when I'm dashing out of the house for the past few weeks. It's a perfect neutral yet still manages to pack a punch. It feels lovely and moisturising on your lips although I'd recommend prepping your lips with a lip balm or scrub as it does tend to show up the dry patches. It has a fairly decent staying power - after a few hours it was still intact and visible.

Have you ever tried the make up range by Liz Earle?

What's in my make-up bag - The holiday edition

By the time you read this I'll be enjoying myself on holiday in Warsaw hopefully eating and drinking far too much while soaking up the sights. I thought i'd give you a little sneak peak about what make up I take away on holiday for a city break.

This gorgeous Ted Bake floral make up bag was gifted to me from Surfdome. Surfdome stock such a lovely collection of Ted Baker bags so it's worth a look! It's just the right size to carry all your essentials plus some more!

Lips:
Chanel Rouge Allure 99 Pirate
F&F Lips Mistress c/o
Topshop All About Me
Revlon Crรจme Brulee Lip Butter
Carmex Strawberry Tube
Gosh Velvet Touch Lip Pencil in 003 Cardinal Red c/o

This year I've gotten into lipstick in a huge way especially a red lip. It's something I've always admired from afar but only just gotten the confidence to be able to wear it out. It's my favourite colour for when I go out for drinks or dinner. I've chosen to take a few different reds - terrified to smash the Chanel whilst under the influence! - and a vibrant pink for something a little different. The Revlon Lip Butter is the perfect shade for the day.

Cheeks:
Topshop Neon Rose Crรจme Blush
He-Shi Fusion Multi Bronze c/o
Bourjois Delice De Poudre Bronzer

I'm a bronzer girl through and through and very rarely venture into Blush. The Bourjois bronzer is perfect for everyday use as it's very matte whereas the He-Shi bronzer is my favourite for night time. It produces such a gorgeous colour and has just the right amout of shimmer.

Eyes:
Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Emerveille 82
Avon 8-in-1 Eye Palette The Nudes c/o
Bourjois Khol and Contour Ultra Black
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
George Lash Trend in Black c/o

This Chanel cream eyeshadow is such a beauty. Subtle yet it still packs a punch. It's the perfect eyeshadow to go from day to night and can be jazzed up with a touch of khol. The Avon Palette had my name written all over it - neutrals are the way forward! Concealer is a must when you're out all night partying yet have to be up at the crack of dawn seeing the sights!

Nails:
OPI The Spy Who Loved Me
Seche Vite top coat

Finally you can't go wrong with red nails eh? OPI is my favourite brand and I couldn't resist picking up the James Bond collection from TK Maxx. It had a slight gold shimmer in it that looks stunning when it catches the light.

Is there anything i've missed out in my make-up collection? What do you take on a city break?

Things i'm loving this week - Kate Moss Lipsticks

L-R 101, 01, 19, 20

I have to admit one of the best things about working for a magazine are the beauty products. We have an insane amount of bits and pieces coming through the office and every now and again we get to raid it and take home some things that tickle our fancy. I'd heard so much about the Kate Moss lipsticks for Rimmel so made sure my grubby mitts made a beeline for them.

I'm a complete sucker for a red lip - I will look like a 50's siren one day- and this one fits the bill perfectly. It's lovely and bright so it really packs a punch. In theory the nude one should make me look like a 60's sex kitten but in reality I feel like a frumpy housewife. I'm not a 100% sure on it and think it has too much of a rose undertone. Maybe it'll be a grower. Number 20 hasn't been worn yet but it'll be ideal for the summer months - if they ever come... It'll be going in my suitcase when i'm off to Turkey in May and will set off a killer tan very nicely indeed. I'd recommend you prep your lips with plenty of lip balm to ensure they're silky smooth before you try the matte shade. It's not very forgiving in my opinion when your lips are looking a little chapped!

Have you ever tried this range of lipsticks before?
